“…I never had to micromanage Jorge. He provided me with key input in defining the project approach. as well as the design strategy. I then simply gave him the space to work his magic. He worked very quickly and efficiently to explore concepts, proactively requested feedback from me and organized pier critiques. He then worked closely with other disciplines to deliver required assets with pixel-perfect detail…”

The core values that drive Maya’s work

01

Radical candor

Be direct and honest with feedback while simultaneously showing you care personally about the people receiving feedback. Care personally and challenge directly.

02

Design is fun

Embrace creativity, experimentation, playfulness, and silliness. Don’t take work too seriously to enjoy the process and lead to more innovative outcomes without the burn out.

03

Lead by example

Demonstrates the behavior, values, and work ethic you wish to see in your team. Lead through your own actions rather than giving orders or instructions.

04

Caring about people

The ultimate KPI is the happiness and wellbeing of the people around us. Company profits are just one of many means to generate wealth. Avoid uncontrolled capitalist greed.

05

Golden rule

Live by the golden rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." This means that if you wouldn’t use a product you designed, is not finished yet.

06

Results oriented

Focus on achieving specific, measurable outcomes rather than mindlessly following processes or creating deliverables.
